cheyenne

I dont think I can sufficiently explain this scenerio but I'll try.

Dylan, Erin, Belle, and I are walking back from the dog park and we run into this lady who says "hey, if you're interested a huge jellyfish washed up over there under the bridge". YES! Let's go check it out! So Dylan goes and pokes it and tells me how hard it feels. I want to touch it so I go and poke it and can see it's insides and am yelling about how awesome it is. An older couple walking by with their dog hear me and come closer to check it out. They're dog wanders into the water and the lady starts to yell, "Cheyenne! Don't go swimming....no....Cheyenne
!" Cheyenne continues to go deeper and deeper into the water as if she's thinking "Um, can't hear you lady. I'll do what I want" Then Cheyenne, being an old dog, slips on the mud and does a faceplant and ends up with icky brown shit all over her snout. The husband of the woman says, "Great, now we're gonna have to get rid of her". Joking, he says to me, "It's all your fault!" My fault?! No way, it's the lady's fault, the lady that told us about the jellyfish in the first place.

If this isn't funny I apologize. What got to me the most was watching the dog slip and fall. I know it's horrible and I HATE having such a rude sense of humor where I'm always laughing at people's, or animals, misfortune. But I just can't help it. I guess there are worse things.

whoopsy-daisies

I accidentally hit a guy today while throwing tennis balls for Belle. He was pissed. I also drove down a one way street in the city and was headed right towards a very angry bus driver. He shook his fists at me. And, while pulling into the parking space in the parking garage I side swiped a pole, and now there's a dent in my car. Further, I showed up to my class and everyone was in dress code except for me.

Did you know that once you open a bag of coffee beans, it's technically only "good" for seven days? I learned that today in my Starbucks "class". I'll have to see how much of a difference it makes. I also learned that I need to wear socks with closed toed shoes; because I today I didn't, and now my feet stink.

tuuuuuuuuuuuuune!

whenever alice would hear a good song, she'd yell "TUUUUUUUUUUNE!" here are a few good ones.

it's confirmed, i am not having kids

At the dog park today there was this little baby chihuahua mix that was the cutest thing in the world. There was also a little boy (about 4 years old) and his mother and grandmother. The little boy decided that he really liked this chihuahua and picked it up by it's hind legs, dangling it in the air. The owner was clearly concerned and the mother was not taking any control of her son. The owner had to awkwardly tell the little boy not to pick up his dog like that. The little boy contiuned to follow the dog around and pet it really hard and run around and actually hit my dog on the head with a tennis racket. The mother then picked up the chihuahua and let the boy pet it, and the owner said "please, just leave her on the ground". The mother did not listen and continued to pick up the chiuahua. The little boy then refused to leave the park and chased the dogs and threw rocks at them. I am NOT having kids.

"ugly bitches"

Julia came up for the weekend!! Erin and I met her in the city and we went to this club for a birthday party. Julia had to change into nicer clothes so she was changing in the car while Erin and I kept a lookout for any creepers. All of a sudden someone yells "NOOOO!!!!!" I jump because I thought it was Erin, and something was terribly wrong! It turns out that it was the homeless woman laying about 30 feet away. Again she screams, "NOOO!!!!!!!" Okay, kinda funny. Let's just hurry up and get outta here. Then she yells "GET OUT OF HERE YOU UGLY BITCHES!" Is she talking to us? Ummm. I think so. Let's just ignore her. Then she yells "GET OUT! YOU SMELL LIKE.....FUCK!!!!!" OKAY. It's getting serious now, maybe we really should go. But should we leave Erin's car? Will she mess with it? We hear "I am NOT kidding. LEAVE!!!" We hop in the car and off we go. Julia decided to stick her head out the window and say "I'm sorry. We're leaving now. We hope that things get better. Sorry that you are so angry at the world"

So off we go to the club, in which I thought was hilarious beacuse its been years since I've been to a club, or even "danced" for that matter. Well I've danced, but at camp dances where I jump up and down and scream and do the cotton eyed joe shin-dig. After a few drinks I got into it and decided to request Chris Brown in which I was told "Absolutely not" by the DJ. Fair enough.

coming together

It's been a little while since I've written, I guess i've been busy with the new job and moving into the new house. It's been nice, having things come together a little bit! I love the house, the roommates are wonderful and there's a perfect little backyard for Belle to eat random things in. She's already brought in 3 dead rodents for us :-P I honestly can't believe how beautiful California is. I live like a block away from this marsh walking trail that leads to the bay and i feel like I'm in a dream! It's SO beautiful. I mean, New Hampshire/the East Coast is beautiful in it's own way, I'm just not used to this terrain. I have yet to explore the State Park that's right down the street, apparently it has great biking trails and such. I drove through and it's gorgeous.

Starbucks has been good, intense training! Nothing like working at Walkers, where there's about 2 days of training and then you're just thrown in there. I've been training now for a week and a half. But, I am loving the free coffee and tea! Starbucks really does have great coffee, I'll admit :)

The weather here in San Rafael is amazing as well. There have been about 2 cloudly days since I got here a month and a half ago, the rest have been clear blue skies. And not blazing hot either!

Feeling so much better about life in general now that I have some stability. And I cannot wait for Lynde to fly out here for new years :)
